ELEMENTS OF PRINTMAKING

The aim of this elective studio is to provide students with both theoretical and practical training in the expressive potential of printmaking.
Through this instruction, students are introduced to both classical and contemporary techniques, enabling them to explore visual forms of expression, cultivate their creativity, and refine their technical skills.
Hours of operation of the elective studio:
The studio is open to students on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00

NIKOLAOS (NIKOS) STAVRAKANTONAKIS / Laboratory Teaching Staff
He studied painting at the Visual and Applied Arts department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Printmaking at the Athens School of Fine Arts, while in 2014 he attended a Japanese woodcut workshop (MokuHanga) at the Kyoto International Mokuhanga School. He has worked at all levels of education, and since 2019 he has been working as Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Printmaking Department of A.S.F.A. He’s an active member of the Greek Printmakers’ Association and has actively contributed to the four International Athens Print Fest. He has held educational workshops while taking part in lectures. He has curated dozens of exhibitions and events related to Printmaking.
