Vision and Mission

As the only uni-thematic University in Greece dedicated exclusively to the Arts, the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), in keeping with its historic role and in response to international developments in higher arts education, has set the following mission:

To provide high-quality education and continuously enhance its teaching methodologies
To produce artistic and research work that meets the needs of both the national and international art scenes
To promote innovative forms of artistic creation and practice
To strengthen its international presence and engage in cultural diplomacy
To actively participate in social affairs through partnerships with artistic and social institutions, both public and private
To upgrade the organisation and operation of its administrative services
