Peiraios buliding complex (campus)

Since 1997, the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) has been housed at 256 Pireos Street, on the premises of the former textile factory “Hellenic Textiles S.A.,” also known by the name of its owner, “Sikiarideio.” A major turning point in the development of the School was the allocation of this space by the state in 1992, during the rectorship of Panayiotis Tetsis, and its subsequent effective utilisation by Rector Nikos Kessanlis.
Today, the majority of ASFA’s activities are housed in this complex, including the main studios, laboratory units, and auditoriums. It also houses the Library, the “Nikos Kessanlis” Exhibition Hall, the School’s Theatre and the Cinema.
