COURSE OUTLINE >>

A. The course develops “The Circle of Thoughtful Poets”, an informative cycle of meetings and discussions aimed at fostering contact and interaction between the student community of the Athens School of Fine Arts and the wider scientific and artistic community. Professionals from various fields are invited to present topics related to education and training, and above all, to engage in a creative dialogue with the students. Through their knowledge and experience, they help shed light on questions and resolve concerns.

B. Within the framework of Applied Pedagogy, targeted projects are implemented. These are student art projects, carried out under supervision, in selected institutions and potential professional environments.

ERMIONI DELI

Ermioni Deli was born in Phocis in 1969. She studied at the Department of Primary Education at Democritus University of Thrace and Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She later pursued further education at the Marasleio Pedagogical Academy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a PhD from the School of Humanities, University of the Aegean, and is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Education Sciences at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

From 1993 until October 2017, when she was appointed to the Greek primary education system, primarily at the University of Athens Experimental Primary School, her main focus was on the visual arts education of children. She has designed and implemented numerous innovative programmes for children, as well as adult education programmes. She has edited and published pedagogical books and participated in both Greek and international conferences. She has also taken part in group exhibitions, artistic competitions in Greece and abroad, and has organised exhibitions featuring works from children’s art workshops.

Since 2011, she has collaborated with the Department of Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on student teaching practice. In 2016, as a university fellow, she taught the course on Visual Arts Education. She also teaches in the Inter-Institutional Master’s Programme in “Educational Sciences through Innovative Approaches, Technologies, and Education” at the University of Western Attica. Since 2017, she has been transferred and now teaches at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the Department of Visual Arts, specialising in Pedagogy and Art Education.
