Vicky Betsou is a Visual Artist and Assistant Professor of Video Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts (undergraduate programs, Master studies). She has also served as the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator of the ASFA.

Her artistic practice includes multichannel video installations and soundscapes in both physical and virtual spaces, as well as immersive narratives. She explores a wide range of new media and platforms to document and reconstruct time and space, creating immersive spatiotemporal experiences for viewers.

She is particularly interested in capturing extended durations and moments of “frozen” time as inscribed on everyday objects, cinematic portraits, archives, and daily patterns, while investigating the possibilities that new media offer for the emergence of non-linear, contemplative narratives that negotiate questions of personal and collective memory.

Her work has been presented internationally, and some pieces are part of private collections and museums.

She has also created physical and multimedia scenographies, as well as mapping projections for theatre (Athens Concert Hall, Athens Festival, Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center – Theatron, etc.), in addition to stage designs for theatre and television.

She has taught experimental video and animation to children and young people, and has also served as a trainer of trainers in Secondary Education, specialising in Moving Image in Education. She lives and works in Athens, Greece.
