Kostas Tsolis was born in Athens in 1964. He studied at the School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1985–1990) and at the School of Graphic Arts and Decorative Applications at the former TEI of Athens (currently, University of West Attica) (1983–1985).
He was one of the founding members of the Visual Arts Collective Katalipsi (1986–1990), organizing actions and exhibitions in both public and private spaces. He lives and works in Athens.
He has held 14 solo exhibitions and has participated in more than 80 group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
Since 2003, he has been a member of the Specialised Technical Laboratory Staff (STL Staff) at the Athens School of Fine Arts, and since 2014, a member of the Specialised Teaching Staff (ST Staff).
