Kostas Siafakas was born in 1975 in Patras. He studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1994-2000) under the guidance of Professor Dimitris Mytaras. In 2015, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in “Creative Writing” from the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Western Macedonia (Thesis title: “The Visual Character of the Prose of N.G. Pentzikis”). From 2003 to 2019, he taught Visual Arts as a permanent teacher in Secondary Education. Since June 2019, he has been a member of the Special Teaching Staff at the Department of Visual Arts, Athens School of Fine Arts. He has held five solo exhibitions: Polyedro, 2003, Patras; Gallery Ekfrasi, 2006, Athens; Polyedro, 2008, Patras; Art Space 24, 2011, Athens; Genesis Gallery, 2021, Athens. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions. His works are held in private collections in Greece and abroad. His essays and literary works have been published in the magazines Nea Efthini and Frear. He has authored two short story collections: Antanaklasi (2018) and To Psari kai to Zari (2021). Both were published by Smili Editions. Antanaklasi was nominated for the 2019 debut prose writer award by the electronic magazine Anagnostis.
