Konstantina Skapetoulia studied painting at the School of Fine Arts with teachers D. Mytaras and R. Papaspyrou. At the same School she attended courses (three years) in stage design with G. Ziakas. She participated in the educational training program of Vocational Training Center DIMITRA “computer graphics and animation”. In 2002-2003 she attended the Master’s program of Studies “Digital Forms of Art” obtaining a master’s degree, presenting the multimedia application “LEXICONA”. In 2016-2018, she is seconded from Secondary Education at ASKT in the painting and video art studios. Since 2018 she has been working as a laboratory teaching staff in the field of painting and new media at the School of Fine Arts with the subject “Introduction to digital art”
Her artistic work has references to the field of art language, to the correspondences of the constituent elements of the text and the image, to the highlighting of the visual value of the codes of the communication systems.
Her artistic work has been presented in individual and group exhibitions and festivals, such as the 2nd EXPO FOR THE SOCIAL AND SOLIDARITY ECONOMY in November 2018 at the Old building of Stock Exchange in Athens. She has participated in conferences such as the NEW TEACHER at the Eugenide Foundation in 2017 about the application of digital media in education, and has given lectures on the modern operation of Museums. She has also supervised student participation in artistic activities such as at the XENAKI WORKSHOP in Nafplio as part of the Symposium for the centenary of his birth.
Her last solo exhibition entitled “Lego” where she investigates the associative function of reading was presented in February 2023 at THE PROJECT GALLERY.
She lives and works in Athens.
