The Mythimna Annex is a historical listed building known as the “Komninaki-Kralli mansion”, built in the early 19th century. The mansion is a typical example of 19th century local architecture and consists of 3 floors (ground floor, mezzanine and first floor), with a total surface of 414 m2. On the 1st floor there are 4 rooms with frescoes dating back to 1833, which are open to the public as a museum exhibition.

Facilities include:

  • 1 double bedroom for teaching staff on the 1st floor
  • 2 double bedrooms and 1 quadruple room (total of 8 beds) for students and one WC on the mezzanine
  • 1 shared kitchen, living room – dining area with a capacity of approximately 10 people, and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor
  • A ground-floor space divided into three sections for use as a studio/workshop
  • A large yard surrounding the building, with 2 terraces used by students as outdoor drawing space
  • Wi-Fi is available

Please Note: the Annex does not provide central heating or air conditioning.

  • By sea: Accessible via daily ferry routes from the Port of Piraeus to the Port of Mytilene. Approximate travel time: 10–12 hours..
  • By air: Daily direct flights from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to Lesvos – Mytilini airport.
  • By bus/car: Driving time from the town of Mytilini to the Annex of Mithimna (Molyvos) is about 1 -1 ½ hour. Regular bus service is also available.
