International Relations and Extroversion


The Vice-Rector for International Relations and Extroversion, Ioannis Melanitis, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts of A.S.K., has the following responsibilities:

a) Is in charge of issues related to designing and promoting actions that develop the international relations and extroversion of the Institution, in collaboration with the Rector.

b) Supervises European or international educational programs related to the mobility of students, faculty members, and other academic and administrative staff of the Institution, in collaboration with the Institutional Coordinator and the Heads of Academic Departments.

c) Addresses issues related to the development and promotion of activities of the Erasmus+ program, in collaboration with the Institutional Coordinator and the Heads of the Departments.

d) Takes initiatives, in collaboration with the Rector and the Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, Academic Affairs, and Student Welfare, in their areas of responsibility for strategic synergies of the Institution with Higher Education Institutions abroad, international research centers, cultural and artistic institutions, organisations, and institutes, as well as for all types of international collaborations.

e) Proposes plans or ideas concerning cultural, social, environmental, sports, volunteer, and other activities to the relevant bodies.

f) Ensures the promotion of actions related to education, culture, the environment, health, technology, institutions, the economy, and society in general.

g) Supervises issues related to the design and promotion of the Institution’s social responsibility actions.

h) Proposes the signing of Memoranda of Cooperation and inter-institutional agreements with Higher Education Institutions, Art Academies, cultural and artistic institutions and organisations, research centers, and museums both at a national or international level.

i) Ensures support to faculty members in organising and participating in scientific conferences, artistic workshops, symposia, and seminars of national and international scope, as well as in international university associations.

j) Supervises activities and advises the Rector and the relevant collective bodies regarding the design, implementation, and operation of the ASFA website.

k) Supervises the implementation of the ASFA publishing services.

l) Forms committees for the study or execution of issues that fall within his responsibilities.

m) Ensures that directives established by the Rector and the collective administrative bodies are properly implemented within the scope of his responsibility.
