The Center for Advanced Studies of Eurac Research, in partnership with Museion Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Bolzano Bozen, is excited to announce a call for artworks related to an upcoming initiative, the Futurological Congress “Digital (R)Evolution”, taking place in May 2026 that aims at bringing together art and science to explore and reflect on the role of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life.
The Futurological Congress is an interdisciplinary festival designed to create a space for an open dialogue and encourage meaningful reflections about the future shaped by and through technology. A key component of the congress is a digital exhibition entitled “Future(s) Forward“, which will be available in multiple public locations in South Tyrol from 17 April to 9 May 2026. The exhibition will be freely accessible, aiming to bring the discussion around AI closer to the public sphere.
This call invites students and graduates (max. 1 year since graduation) from all disciplines – artists, coders, thinkers and experimenters – from all over the European Union and Schengen area to submit an artwork that explores, interprets, or responds to themes related to the utopian or dystopian future(s) that might emerge from the interaction between human and artificial intelligence(s).
